Science has taught us a great deal, but there is still a great deal that we do not understand. So many mysteries have baffled scientists throughout the ages, and they are guaranteed to do the same to you. We are all taught that science has an answer for almost everything. We have a tendency to place science and scientists on a pedestal, they can do no wrong. But when you dig a little deeper, you will see that the man behind the curtain is not so majestic. The answers we believe to be accurate are merely a smoke screen adorned with a slew of fancy words and scientific jargon.
However, science has only scratched the surface of why, who, or what we are. The basis of this book is to present a scientific talk in a more down-to-earth way to understand how things are as they are. I will attempt to demonstrate different views of the mysteries we all have questions about using a combination of science, religion, philosophy, and my own insights. The main goal of this book is to show support for the theory of higher intelligence.
Sample Chapter: Intelligent Universe
Do you believe humans have a consciousness based on a handful of chemicals? The human brain is a mass of a jelly-like substance that weighs approximately three pounds, and the average adult’s brain is composed of approximately sixty percent fat. The remaining forty percent comprises different types of molecules, including water, protein, carbohydrates, and salts. Science cannot prove we exist as conscious beings.
Is there any possibility of Artificial Intelligence (AI) being created amongst a bunch of silicon chips? There is still a lot of debate about that. But there are many who believe AI will soon become sentient. As new technology is developed rapid development increases the chances exponentially.
How much harder would it be to believe that the universe we live in that is interconnected with the matter, dark matter, electrical signals, radio signals, and photons of light and follows an organized set of patterns might also be intelligent? An intelligence that is so far beyond our own understanding that we do yet know how to communicate with it without including God in the picture.
We as humans can only see the microscopic view of the universe. Even so, it has been recognized by many philosophers, scientists, and even religious leaders over the centuries that there is a possibility of consciousness in all things. I am not suggesting Panpsychism which is the view that all things have a mind or a mind-like quality. What I am suggesting is that Panpsychism might be our perspective from a microscopic view that the makeup of all that exists is part of one overall consciousness or as known by some as God. Science is there to prove its existence much more so than the science that proves we are conscious.
Mankind’s view of the universe is so small it is hard to grasp. But it has not stopped ancient civilizations from worshiping various aspects of the universe as God. Clearly, if an entire society could worship the sun, moon, earth, and even animal spirits as God, there must be something to it. The Native Americans recognized this in some respect as the Great Spirit that was part of all things. Major world religions today recognize this universal consciousness in the form of God. Science recognizes it as Quantum Entanglement.
